Growing up with my 3 dads and 4 mums.
Can you imagine a kid with three fathers and four mothers? That must be some kid huhn? Lets put ourselves in his shoes.
Having the opportunity to go to any of these fathers to buy you stuff and give you treats as well. Imagine having three strong dads who protect you and always make sure you are safe. Having three fathers who are simply willing to put a smile on your face all the time. Three dads who will move heaven and earth to see you well when you are ill. Three dads who will teach their son to be a MAN. That must be SOME MAN in the making.
The sad part about having three dads is that they will scold you when you go wrong. You can imagine the appearance of your buttocks after they have spanked you. Well, that is a part you have to deal with aside enjoying all the treats they give you.
Well, talking about having four mothers. They never want to see you hungry so you always have food on your table; the best part is it’s variety because you get to eat from them all. They love to go shopping so whenever you go with them to buy some clothes, expect to get a new bunch of clothes for yourself as well. You must always be prepared to visit their churches on Sundays. The best church sitter ; one who buys you all the chocolates and ice-cream you want from the church shop becomes your church favorite.
However, having four mothers can be so…..*sigh*. Where should I start? From the incessant errands run to the chores assigned which is usually undertaken under duress is just a tip of the iceberg …hmph. The nagging that never seems to end which leaves your ears ringing because their mouths can catch a break and take turns but your ears never do.
The incessant advice and the intrusive ideas they always have about everything; your fashion sense, friends, eating habits. Gosh!! I LOVE THEM when they drive me crazy!
Growing up with three fathers and four mothers is great! You may spend months at home without seeing your room because there are many beds to choose from; any of your fathers’ and mothers’ bed could be a motel or hotel depending on your choice for the night. The point is, you are never alone.
Yep! That was my life. I had three fathers and four mothers growing up. All of them did not give birth to me but they definitely played the role of parents growing up.
My three older brothers and four older sisters, I felt were a pain in the ass growing up. But I love them a bunch because they helped in molding me to be the person I am now. I like me but I love them more!
I am thankful for my family; my three dads and four mums.
