Linda Ikeji’s success in the blogging world in West Africa has been the standard a lot of bloggers aspire to. Linda Ikeji is worth 3.2 billion naira. Her monthly earnings through her blog is amazing and keeps sky rocketing every time. Calculations on how much she earns is HERE.
However, on her 36th birthday about a month ago, she seemed very emotional yet very inspiring when she spoke about her struggles and finally her need for a man in her life. That’s probably what brought you to this post.
As a personal blogger and not one of news gist or celebrity blogging, I just want to be cleared on something I don’t understand here. It seems very successful women especially in Africa struggle with getting a partner. Is it a problem from the ladies or it’s the men.
FAULT FROM THE WOMAN
Are successful women arrogant in their relationships and do they always show off how much more they make than their partners? Thus discouraging men from sticking around because of how demeaning and insulting that sort of behaviour could be? If these were true, then I see every reason why a man would not want to be with a woman as successful as linda Ikeji. Men naturally have the ego and always want to take their place as MEN in their relationship with a woman. It pays for a woman to throw her head back once in awhile and allow the man to handle issues even when she could, that gives men a sense of THEMSELVES(“I AM A MAN”). Every man loves a submissive woman.
FAULT FROM THE MAN
Another question is, are African men simply threatened or afraid at the sound of a successful woman? It is either they make way below what the woman makes or they just lack confidence in themselves. No woman loves a self loathing man who has no confidence in himself. A woman loves a confident, strong and independent man who takes charge. So it is either a lot of African men don’t feel up to the task or they simply can’t handle successful women.
So what do you think? Is it the fault of a man or the woman in a situation like this. Let me know by commenting below.
