I have never disliked Kwaku Manu. I still don’t. I like Kwaku Manu as a person and as a comedian as well. He makes me laugh so hard and for anybody to get me to do that deserves an oscar. He is great!
Now, talking about this issue with men being likened to dogs who seem to have no control for themselves is insane. Especially when men themselves admit that they are like dogs who can’t control their sexual urges because they were born that way is absolutely wrong, irritating and unacceptable.
I am not against Kwaku Manu for confessing that he has cheated before. I’d applaud him for his bravery if his wife was aware of the fact that he was going to say that on television. Not many men can admit that on live television until they are caught in the mist of a scandal like Obinim was. Also I would have given him a standing ovation if he had a problem with sex(probably an addict). But for him to disrespect his wife and all men by saying it is normal to cheat on your wife and that it is just fine is insane!
We all know the sex wire of men as I have blogged about HERE before . But for him to normalise it was absolutely wrong. One thing that some movie stars refuse to realise all around the world is that they are role models for a lot of people. People look up to them; they are emulated by the younger ones so for a movie star to say this on film is just wrong and unacceptable.
If you have problems in your sex life, deal with it. Don’t normalise it and say it is just fine for a man to cheat. That is purely sexist, if you ask me. Why is it normal for a man to cheat and a taboo for a woman?
Women go through hell when they cheat but men…it is normal? This is a societal issue that needs to be addressed. So what I am saying here is, a man is capable of respect, faithfulness and love.
