African Disgraces Africa In The USA- Video
Due to the nature of the content of the video, you can view it only on my YouTube channel on video buzzes(awesomerichy satellite) which you can find a link to it on my homepage.
Hello guys, I just can’t ignore things such as these. They simply get on my nerves! I remember the news I heard on air several months ago of American journalist’s incessant referral to Liberia as Africa, hence their decision to stop flights from the whole of Africa to and from USA. This led to ramblings on my blog post ‘Can’t believe you know that little about Africa!’
This video(African boy stripping in the middle of the road) apparently went viral on instagram; Yes it did! It was not because people wanted to check out an African butt nor see the huge lips on the dude neither were they looking to be fascinated by the strong African accent he had. It went viral because many foreigners especially non- Africans took seriously the comment this guy made which was obviously a joke. His comment about the homelessness of Africans thus the changing of our clothes in the open was not taken lightly at all by others who apparently have narrow knowledge about Africa. The weirdest part about their reaction to this was that it was obviously a frivolous joke that was passed by the African guy whom I am quite sure is Nigerian telling from his accent.
I could not stop twitching when I read the comments on this video on instagram. There were comments like “It’s a sad thing in Africa.”, “There are no HOUSES? What a country!”, “It is really hard to live in Africa” , “Africans are homeless people?!”, “I will never go to Africa”, “Such a horrible place to be” and the likes flooded the comment section on instagram. I just don’t get why people are so quick to believe crap about Africa. This guy, obviously a funny blood joked around with the stereotypical beliefs of many concerning Africa in his bid to change his clothes on the streets which he OBVIOUSLY and PERSONALLY cared less about.
It became quite funny when I went into an argument with one of the commentators on the post. He passed a comment about the homelessness of Africans. He was an African American and I was surprised he was quick to believe such lies about Africa.
The fact is this, if someone is homeless(has no roof over his head/has no place to sleep), it is more of ECONOMIC or FINANCIAL reasons more than where the person comes from. Just saying…If the guy was homeless where he came from, it was simply because he was a broke ass dude who lived in the CITY. I’m saying so because it doesn’t take too much to get a house in a tiny village somewhere in Africa. Besides, how much will a piece of land and building materials(mud, palm fronds and thatch) cost if he was in a village. If he lived in a town or city it might take more to own a house but renting an apartment is not a batter at all. If he couldn’t, it simply meant he was very poor and….that’s it!
It is definitely not an African thing because just like America, there are homeless people too. It would not make any sense for a homeless American to say “In America, there are no houses so we change outside okay!” Even if any American said that, the perception would have been directed to him not America. So I don’t get why people enjoy associating Africa to things such as this. We are all not homeless. We live in houses too.
Another thing a guy said to me when he posted a comment was that ” YOU don’t know about other tribes in Africa. You might not be homeless in your tribe but that doesn’t mean other tribes aren’t”. WOW like WHAT THE….!
I couldn’t believe I saw TRIBES! Why did he even make mention of tribes?! Building policies and the putting up of infrastructure and the likes in Africa is more of a nation thing than a tribe thing. If you are talking about subdivisions in Africa, it makes more sense to say COUNTRIES. There are countries in Africa; Africa is not a country full of tribes okay!. The variations in economical and infastrauctural development is obviously in countries not TRIBES. Come on…REALLY?!
If a country is poor, it will definitely lack some of these things but in Africa, even in the poorest of villages in its smallest state and size have huts and mud houses. The poorest man can build himself a hut from palm fonds and thatch…mud is obviously not sold so villagers easily get these materials to build themselves houses.
On a more critical note, It may surprise you to know that there are more homeless people in America than in Africa. This is because it does not take much to have a home, or even own one in many parts of Africa. However in the USA, aside the huge sums of money one has to invest, the processes one has to go to through to even own a house is out of the world for an average African somewhere in a ‘tribe’ who wants to own a house.
So guys lets quit crapping on Africa. It is not that bad. I live here and I love it! Stay tuned to my vlog as I give you a taste of what Africa really is. Also subscribe to awesomerichy satellite to stay tuned to my video buzzes such as this.

It is sad but that is the truth. We know little about Africa. In fact, we think we know a lot about Africa from the television we watch and the footages we are given about the poor environments and the impoverished situations in Afrca. In our schools, everything we learn about Africa is poor, primitive and HOMELESS so that all we know about Africa. I am glad that you are educating us. I am looking forward to the updates and footages also from your vlog that will introduce us to the REAL Africa. I am a big fan of Africa and YOU. thank you.
