Africans are hospitable to foreigners
But natives are ghosts in their own hospitals
Politicians shower dollars on the poor to win their votes;
After words of victory quotes,
The poor stands in drought with their depreciated notes.
A couple on the street dare not display a kiss
Its a taboo!
But leave their homes with a number of children you can never miss,
Oh lest I forget,
Its a blessing!
Its such pride to start a family
One that matches a village is the pride of the commonly,
A nation is definitely award winning
When we find it hard to feed,
We pray for a bumper harvest while our land has no seed
We stay in the land and complain,
While foreigners land and drain,
We welcome them with a smile
Because their journey was not in a mile
What continent are we leaving for them?
A hospitable continent that hates?
A religious continent that wages war?
A continent whose rich leaves the poor more impoverished?
We put our hands on our heads and wail while we defecate on rich minerals.
I love Africa because we believe in God
This is but the latter
A reprimand for Africa
Can only make us better.
